Founded in 2007, BELQUISE, a new face in the fashion world, slowly began to pique the interest of various leading names in the industry. Founder and designer of  BELQUISE jewelry, Nahrin Sarkisova had a deep passion for anything pertaining to the Arts. From a young age she began her training in classical piano and went on to university to study paintings by the Old Masters of the Renaissance and Pre-Raphaelites. Inspiration came in many forms but it wasn't until she learned of the great Erte and Mucha and how their art merged and shaped the fashion world that she discovered her own voice in the industry. She fell in love with Mucha’s organic, sensuous shapes and Erte’s elegant, sleek figures. It was their romanticism, their iconic imagery that became catalysts for Nahrin's immersion into the fashion world.

The Queen of Sheba has been called by many names. However, I have always felt that one always seemed to roll off the tongue with a sweet spice. BELQUISE... the sound of it invokes an air of mystery like sinuous smoke swirling on a dark, glassy lake. Through out the ages, this alluring Queen has inspired tales of sensuous beauty, of the forbidden exotic, and of caravans filled with riches beyond imagination.
